Through his shared passions for art and psychology, Jack Hamrick has spent his adult life exploring the dynamics of subconscious creativity and expression. Since the 1980’s, Jack has applied his art as a therapeutic modality in treating children with emotional disabilities and behavior disorders.  Having painted all over the world, Jack finds that the High Country of Western North Carolina provides a “perfect muse” and atmosphere in which to live and paint. Jack describes his style as “Expressive Realism”, creating works that arouse our instinctive cognitive response to complimentary colors and patterns in the environment.
